Episode 128 – Bath, England

I hope you learned some things about Bath that you didn’t know.  Let me start with my Air B&B that I stay at with this link.  It’s expensive, but not when you are able to divide by 3 families or friends.  The location is great from both the train station and central city. In the town of Widcombe, across the pedestrian bridge behind the train station, we enjoyed both the Ram Pub and The White Heart Pub.  Try to sit in the garden of The White Horse.  The two Indian restaurants recommended to us were Bikanos and Ruposhi, which is only takeout.  The two pubs we went to in Bath were the Belle (for music) and The Raven.  Get the Raven’s meat pie.  Of course, the two biggest attractions are Bath Abbey and The Roman Baths.  Get your tickets early for the Bath Abbey steeple tour, and try to be the first tour of the Roman Baths.  The best way way to get an understanding of the city is through The Mayor of Bath’s Honorary Guides.  Find the old East Gate and other sections of the original wall of the city.  Items that will be covered in the tour will be Beau Nash, The Cross Bath, The Cresent, The Circus, and Pelfry Bridge.  Other places that we did not visit are The Royal Cresent Museum, Hershel Museum of Astronomy, Victoria Art Museum, American Museum and Gardens, Museum of East Asian Art, The Old Theater Royal and Masonic Museum, and Prior Park Landscape Garden.

If you have been thinking about getting one of these credit cards use my links: Capital One Venture X, Southwest Credit Card, Southwest Business, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred, and the Hyatt Credit Card. If you use my links to sign up for the card I get some points, and again it doesn’t cost you anything to help out the show.  Some of these credit card links do not last long.  If the link doesn’t work please contact me and I can send one to you real time.  Remember, if you are unable to pay your credit cards off on a monthly basis then it is not worth getting these.  Thanks so much!
