Episode 127 – The Cotswolds – England

Welcome to Episode 127.  The drive around the Cotswolds was great.  We started in the village of Burford and ate our full English breakfast at The Priory Tea Room Cafe.  Remember, they do have a few small rooms in the back.  From there, we went to the village of Bibury and checked out Arlington Row, which is some of the oldest and best-preserved housing in the area.  Look for trout in the river.  Next, we went to the village of Sheepscombe to the Butchers Arms.  Be careful of one-lane roads around Sheepscombe.  We did not find the Roman Villa in Spoonly Wood, but if that interests you give it a try, and let me know if you found them.  We stopped by The Fox Inn near Stow on the Wold, which is one of the bigger towns in the Cotswolds and a good place for staying/shopping/eating.  Two other towns that we did not get to were Chipping Camden and Chipping Norton.  Back in Oxford, we enjoyed both The Trout and The Oxford Retreat bar/restaurants.

If you have been thinking about getting one of these credit cards use my links: Capital One Venture X, Southwest Credit Card, Southwest Business, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred, and the Hyatt Credit Card. If you use my links to sign up for the card I get some points, and again it doesn’t cost you anything to help out the show.  Some of these credit card links do not last long.  If the link doesn’t work please contact me and I can send one to you real time.  Remember, if you are unable to pay your credit cards off on a monthly basis then it is not worth getting these.  Thanks so much!
