Episode 122 – Portugal, the Algarve

Episode 122 – Welcome back!  I was in the southern coast (Algarve) of Portugal with my two daughters.  We stayed in the City of Armacao de Pera, and stayed at the Holiday Inn there.  The location is really good.  Lot’s of restaurants and bars as well as mini-markets and a grocery store within walking distance.  It also has a nice pool right on the beach.  We also enjoyed the nearby Water Dog British Pub.  We went to the city of Sagres to see the end of the world at the Fortress of Sagres.  It is known as a surfing town, and the surfing beach is called Tonel Beach.  Get there early, it looked crowded.  If you get to Tonel Beach Bar then you will be at the right beach.  Next, we went Salema, Portugal.  We ate at the Atlantica Restaurant, and stopped by Ceramico Paraiso in Raposeira, Portugal.  You can’t miss it.  You can get a boat to see the caves cut into the cliffs at Lagos for about 20 Euros per person.  They have multiple tours per day.  Also, in Lagos other than shopping and the beach is St. Antonio’s Church (Santo Antonio), and the City Museum (Museu de Lagos).  We enjoyed a meal at the very small Cafe Odeon.  See if you can find it in Lagos.  The town seems to have a bit of a night club scene as well in area by Steve Ray’s.

If you have been thinking about getting one of these credit cards use my links: Capital One Venture X, Southwest Credit Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred, and the Hyatt Credit Card. If you use my links to sign up for the card I get some points, and again it doesn’t cost you anything to help out the show.  Some of these credit card links do not last long.  If the link doesn’t work please contact me and I can send one to you real time.  Remember, if you are unable to pay your credit cards off on a monthly basis then it is not worth getting these.  Thanks so much!
